It is only appropriate that my first real blog entry (other then my “Welcome” one) is about BBQ Ribs. My wife makes the most awesome ribs. Apple BBQ Ribs to be exact! And of course we love to eat corn on the cob hot off the grill with the ribs. It doesn’t get easier then this:
Ingredients
- 2 Slabs of Beef or Pork Ribs
- 1 small – medium Onion diced
- 2 Tbl Butter
- 2 stalks Celery diced
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 2 Tbl Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbl Honey
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/2 cup of Apple chopped
- 1 Clove of Garlic chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Dry Mustard
- Dash of Black Pepper
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Bake ribs in roasting pan covered for 1-1/2 hours. Time to prepare the BBQ Sauce. Brown diced onions, apples, and celery in butter in large skillet. Add all the above ingredients (except for the ribs) to onion celery mix. Heat over medium to high heat for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and slather the ribs on both sides with the sauce. Preheat your grill on medium. Place ribs on grill and bbq for about 30 minutes. Make sure they are constantly basted with the sauce and turn over often. Serve and enjoy. If you would rather cook them inside, place the ribs on a broiler pan and broil for 5 minutes per side. Here is an even EASIER RECIPE. Instead of making your own BBQ Sauce, pick up a bottle of Burning Asphalt Sauces APPLE BBQ SAUCE. You won’t regret it!
